Tipi Wedding

A Summer Tipi Wedding in Cambridgeshire

There is a certain quaint quality to a tipi on a green, and on Polly and Adam’s relaxed and happy wedding day their tipi looked fantastic set up by Horningsea Pavilion in Cambridgeshire. We loved the details at this wedding which complimented the tipi – and wish we had thought of the fantastic tea-towel wedding invite! One of our favourite catering teams  Puddini provided a deliciously tasty meal of gourmet burgers and cheesecake which was perfect alongside a nice cold beer. As the night cooled the fires were lit and the marshmallows came out. Look no further if you want

Cambridge Punting Pre Wedding Shoot

We’ve shot some fun Cambridge punting pre wedding shoot sessions in the past, but Ruth and Danny’s had a twist, this time our very own Tom was the initial chauffeur. We tried something different, he punted so that we could give Ruth and Danny a go at ‘driving’, and what a hilarious decision that was! As well as the happy couple cuddling up in the punt, we saw them both try their hand at punting for the first time, with varying results, as we think the punt Danny hit would agree! No one ended up with damp feet though, so

Laura & Lewis – Sunny Hertfordshire Wedding – Lina and Tom

We clicked with Laura and Lewis instantly when we met them, and after a fantastic Brighton pre wedding shoot with them we were so excited for their Hertfordshire wedding at the Tythe Barn at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel. Mother Nature played ball with a perfect sunny day to show off their gorgeously vibrant yellow and navy colour scheme, accented by beautiful sunflowers. Who doesn’t smile at a sunflower? Particularly lovely was fireman Lewis’ gift to Laura of seven heart-shaped padlocks to lock in each of the seven continents, starting on their South American honeymoon – swoon! Their Hertfordshire wedding was

A San Francisco Pre Wedding Shoot | Destination Wedding Photography

We’re at our happiest when we are travelling for our couples, and we had an amazing opportunity to provide San Francisco pre wedding photography for Pippa and Marty, thanks to perfect timing of our trip to the US last October! They live near the cosmopolitan city but are having a UK wedding celebration in Hertfordshire this month. Starting the shoot at a fantastic spot showcasing the city skyline, before heading across the water to beautiful Sausalito, we then made our way back to visit an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Mother nature even provided us with the fog the

Claire & Stuart’s Disco High Rocks Wedding Photography

We are very lucky when it comes to our couples, in the sense that we seem to attract super people who could have easily been our friends for years, and Claire and [disco] Stu are no exception. Our first meeting went for hours which saw them having to peg it to the train station to make the last train. When they told us their wedding venue, the beautiful High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, well our cup runneth over. I’m not sure I can actually describe it properly, so to quote from their website,  “Acres of breathtaking sandstone rocks interlinked with eleven bridges,

Claire & Will’s Awesome Beach Pre Wedding Shoot Frinton-on-Sea

Claire and Will’s beach pre wedding shoot date fell in that gorgeous period in early June where we had stunning sunshine – remember then? I think it was called our summer… Anyway we were delighted to be heading to Frinton-on-Sea with them, which turns out to be a fantastic beach for shooting on! We’ve shot at Southwold and Wells-next-the-Sea which are also gorgeous, but Frinton-on-Sea is very flat hard sand – perfect for running and jumping around on! Now this is essentially a masterclass of a pre wedding shoot so look and learn folks. We’re not saying Claire and Will

Anneka & Olie’s Greenwich Park Pre Wedding Shoot at Sunset

Mother Nature came through for us again on the afternoon of Anneka and Olie’s Greenwich Park  pre wedding shoot. It was a glorious day (remember those!) and we knew the sunset would be stunning. Lina spent time living in Greenwich whilst studying for her masters, so it’s a place we absolutely love to come back to when shooting. We even have a ritual of going to a specific noodle house after!  Parts of the park seem to be the perfect place to not only enjoy the fantastic views of the city, but also to catch the light through the most

Another Fearless Award at Lina and Tom HQ!

One of the great things about being a wedding photographer today is the community we get to be part of, we encounter very little competitiveness these days but rather a desire to share, inspire and enjoy each other’s work. We particularly get this from being part of the Fearless Photographers‘ community and we had a fantastic time at their conference in March in beautiful Porto. One of the elements of the Fearless Photographers directory, “a showcase of the best wedding photographers in the world,” is regular award submissions where our work is critiqued by highly regarded judges. Tom was the

A Southwold Pre Wedding Shoot with Neville the Pug

Southwold is just the most adorable little beach town. We love the little lanes and shops, it’s a shame we only ever get to visit on shoots for the day.  Although it does mean we get to stop by the gorgeous Magpie Bakery which is always a winner! One day we shall have to go for a mini break, but in the meantime we do love it when a couple suggest a beach location such as a Southwold pre wedding shoot. There is something calm yet exciting about shooting by the sea. We love see our couple enjoying walking along

Emma & David: Born to Run Springsteen Inspired Wedding Invitation

Many of you know we love a photographic challenge and Emma and David are huge Bruce Springsteen fans who wanted to create a wedding invite which reflected this. One afternoon we got together to have a little fun in the studio with a plan to create a shot inspired by the album cover of Born to Run, for their Springsteen inspired wedding invitations. Walk don’t run Not wanting to pose them straight off, we brought a box of props and had a little fun, allowing them to get comfortable with the camera first. There is a great book of unseen photos
