Another Fearless Award at Lina and Tom HQ!

One of the great things about being a wedding photographer today is the community we get to be part of, we encounter very little competitiveness these days but rather a desire to share, inspire and enjoy each other’s work. We particularly get this from being part of the Fearless Photographers‘ community and we had a fantastic time at their conference in March in beautiful Porto. One of the elements of the Fearless Photographers directory, “a showcase of the best wedding photographers in the world,” is regular award submissions where our work is critiqued by highly regarded judges. Tom was the

Romantic beach pre wedding shoot

A Southwold Pre Wedding Shoot with Neville the Pug

Southwold is just the most adorable little beach town. We love the little lanes and shops, it’s a shame we only ever get to visit on shoots for the day.  Although it does mean we get to stop by the gorgeous Magpie Bakery which is always a winner! One day we shall have to go for a mini break, but in the meantime we do love it when a couple suggest a beach location such as a Southwold pre wedding shoot. There is something calm yet exciting about shooting by the sea. We love see our couple enjoying walking along

Emma & David: Born to Run Springsteen Inspired Wedding Invitation

Many of you know we love a photographic challenge and Emma and David are huge Bruce Springsteen fans who wanted to create a wedding invite which reflected this. One afternoon we got together to have a little fun in the studio with a plan to create a shot inspired by the album cover of Born to Run, for their Springsteen inspired wedding invitations. Walk don’t run Not wanting to pose them straight off, we brought a box of props and had a little fun, allowing them to get comfortable with the camera first. There is a great book of unseen photos

Paige Toon: The One We Fell In Love With – Author Photo by Lina and Tom

Fans of Sunday Times bestselling author Paige Toon and followers of our work will remember that 2014 saw the publication of Thirteen Weddings, Paige’s fantastic novel about a novice wedding photographer. I worked with Paige on the research of the book (see a previous blog here), and we even made an appearance in it! Why not get yourself a copy? Two years on we were delighted when lovely Paige approached us about a new author headshot in time for the publication of her new book, The One We Fell In Love With.

Jo & Tom’s Sunset London Pre Wedding Shoot in Battersea Park

The light we had for Jo & Tom’s London pre wedding shoot was every photographer’s dream. At this time of year and throughout the summer, we love to hold photo shoots at sunset so we can pick up the low evening sun. We’d not shot in Battersea Park before and it was great – the golden glow of this shoot as the sun sets paired with Jo & Tom’s laughter (they make each other laugh a lot it’s lovely!) makes for a stunning shoot. We off to the Emerald Isle this weekend to shoot their wedding, our first in Ireland

London wedding photographer Camden

Nicola & Elliott’s Colourful Camden Pre Wedding Shoot – London Wedding Photographers

In love in London Camden holds a lot of memories for us. Despite not meeting until our early twenties, our experiences of Camden hark back to when we were teenage grunge/skater kids respectively, picking up Pearl Jam/Metallica bootlegs at the market, so we were so looking forward to going back creatively as a London wedding photographers. We loved that Nicola & Elliott wanted to go back to their old haunt of Camden where their relationship kicked off, and we couldn’t believe we hadn’t shot in that area before to be honest. Thankfully the sun was on our side, so throw

International Women’s Day: It’s OK to not feel ‘strong’

Happy International Women’s Day! I have to start saying that really, as it was seeing this a lot on social media today that prompted me to write this post (and I want to). When I checked Facebook this morning, it encouraged me to share a post wishing a happy IWD to my girlfriends (just like it told me to share Happy Mother’s Day a couple of days ago – how would we remember anything these days without it?) and I see many of my lovely ladies have posted various images wishing us all the same. One thing I have noticed

Because your wedding photos are so much more than looking perfect

Happy Valentine’s Day all. Whether you are someone who is loved up and enjoying the day with your beloved, or if you’re still fancy free I hope you’re taking the time to feel hopeful for all the loved ones you do have in your life. I’m spending today designing our wedding album. That’s right, fourteen months down the line and it still hasn’t been done. You can see our lovely photographer Albert’s blog here if you want a peek of how our day panned out. But with this job, our clients always come first, and there is always another wedding

South Farm Wedding Summer

A Summer South Farm Wedding at the Reservoir

The past week has been pretty miserable weather-wise, grey and cold, so we thought it was time to spread some sunshine and look back at Jess and Chris’ gloriously sunny South Farm wedding photography from last summer. This was also the first opportunity we had to visit the South Farm reservoir during a wedding, and we took our lovely couple off to the water in the setting sun. We also love the splash of coral in this wedding! Here’s a selection of images from the day and you’ll find the credits at the end…

Luxury Star Wars Theme Wedding

The Force is Strong With this One! A Star Wars Wedding with Some Unexpected Guests…

Emma & Sean are fans of Star Wars, but rather than go all out in a themed wedding, they planned a subtle nod to their love of the movies combined with a classic summer wedding feel. A gorgeous pink and green scheme, with themed place names and favours, not to mention a gorgeous cake tumbling with Star Wars icons. However, as Emma, radiant in Maggie Sottero, and Sean, looking dashing in Stormtrooper monochrome were about to exit their ceremony, a couple of uninvited guests turned up to escort them, courtesy of the brilliant Star Wars costuming group UK Garrison who
