Sustainability is not a perfect destination for us. It is an ongoing practice of paying attention, making thoughtful choices and trying to tread a little more lightly on the world we love to explore.

As photographers and filmmakers, we are fortunate to document celebrations across the UK and around the world. We recognise that travel has an environmental impact and we take that responsibility seriously. Where possible we choose lower impact transport options, and avoid unnecessary flights by combining trips and staying in a region or country for longer periods, reducing repeat travel. We also value supporting local economies and communities, choosing to stay and support local businesses wherever we can and investing in the places where we work.

At home we use 100 percent renewable electricity and make conscious choices around waste by reusing packaging wherever possible and avoiding unnecessary materials. We keep our equipment’s life cycle long, taking good care of it, repairing where we can and replacing it thoughtfully to avoid unnecessary purchases. Your package will begin digitally and, where we provide tangible additions, our print and album suppliers are UK based.

You compliment us on our outfits? They’re more than likely new from Vinted or preloved, where we naturally prefer to shop first and foremost when needing something ‘new.’

We’re also aware of the impact of AI in the world and make a conscious choice when to use it. The reality is that it can be an invaluable tool in editing when we have to remove that pesky exit sign, but you’ll never find us faking elements in our work, or generating rubbish caricatures of ourselves for an instagram trend.

Social sustainability matters to us too. We are proud ambassadors for the charity Vow for Girls, which alongside advocacy, we donate for every wedding booking we receive, supporting them to end child marriage across the globe. Vow for Girls funds community-based solutions that support girls with education, job training and life skills that create long-term change. For us, sustainability is about positive impact and the wellbeing of future generations, not only environmental practices. We are also proudly inclusive and hope we can provide a safe space for all to be themselves truly.

Our values are also reflected in the personal choices we make. We have chosen to live child-free, which for us forms part of a wider commitment to living intentionally and thoughtfully. We know that families are built in many different ways and we deeply respect the choices others make. Our own path has simply given us the freedom to devote our time, energy and resources to our work, our community, our travels and the causes we care deeply about.

Sustainability is personal and philosophical as well as practical. Lina is a shamanic practitioner, and our connection to nature and the land is part of daily life rather than a marketing tick box. We pay attention to the seasons, the small details and the rhythms of the natural world, and we bring that mindfulness into the way we live and work.

We do not claim to live perfectly, nor to have all the answers. We simply believe that thoughtful choices, made consistently and with care, can create positive change. Our hope is that the work we create celebrates not only love and connection, but also a way of living that is compassionate, intentional and rooted in care for each other and for the world around us.
