LIVING LA DOLCE VITA
Italy offers a breadth of choice for your destination wedding. From the beauty of the Lakes in the North such as Como or Maggiore, to the rolling hills of Tuscany, there is something for everyone when planning a destination wedding.
Head further south and you reach the majestic Amalfi Coast, just south of Naples. The Amalfi Coast is a highly desirable location for destination weddings due to its breathtaking scenery and very pleasant climate. Combine with Italy’s rich cultural heritage and delectable cuisine, making it a great choice for foodies.
The Amalfi Coast offers a wide range of wedding venues, from luxurious villas to charming hotels to historic churches. The variety of venues ensures that every couple can find the perfect setting for their wedding. We were honoured to shoot at the beautiful Villa Zagara, nestled in the heart of the picturesque town of Sorrento.
Villa Zagara provided a dreamy setting with its lush gardens, historic architecture, and a serenely romantic atmosphere. The venue fosters a harmonious blend of nature and sophistication, perfectly suited for an intimate and unforgettable experience, however many guests you are bringing for your wedding celebration.
We were honoured to be chosen to shoot and showcase this fantastic venue. Elements were a nod to typically Italian elements of the region, such as highlighting the lemon grove and with an iconic car that is the epitome of La Dolce Vita.
The overarching theme of the venue is a natural, classic, and elegant aesthetic, perfect if you want your wedding to evoke a sense of timeless romance and sophistication. You can be exchanging vows amidst the enchanting gardens or aesthetic lemon grove, or stealing a private moment in the lush conservatory before dinner. There are so many options at Villa Zagara for a truly magical celebration.
OCEAN VIEWS
Like any perfect Italian wedding venue worth it’s salt, the gardens at Villa Zagara give way to sweeping views of the Mediterranean, including the world famous Vesuvius volcano on a clear day. The veranda can provide a stunning backdrop for your wedding photography but also a magical setting for your wedding ceremony.
AN INTIMATE DINNER
Italian destination weddings aren’t just about big parties in festoon lined stone courtyards. If you are planning an intimate celebration or elopement, this is also a wonderful location with numerous parts of the gardens and villa being available for your wedding dinner set up, including this picturesque glass-less greenhouse structure, with the ocean in the distance.
FELLINI FEELS
When getting married in Italy it’s hard not to embrace the culture and romance of such an incredible country (ok maybe I’m a bit biased! – Lina) Don’t be afraid to embrace the ‘Dolce Vita’ look with a change of outfit and a cool car to set off into the sunset. One of our favourite things to do with our destination wedding clients is a fun photoshoot after the wedding to really embrace the location, as the wedding day itself can be so connected to a schedule.
