Much like October, November weddings are all about golden leaves and light – just a joy to shoot. November has been growing in popularity for weddings over the last couple of years, so it keeps us busy right into the winter, alongside us fitting in our annual jaunt to London for the Nine Dots Gathering week – a non-conference for wedding photographers. Here’s a first look at our November wedding photography…
Anne and Stephen – romance at South Farm
It was back at South Farm for our first November wedding photography with gorgeous Anne and Stephen, a glorious crisp Autumnal day with guests in great spirits. Anne absolutely rocked her stunning slinky wedding dress by Maggie Sottero, and we love the confidence and sheer happiness in their sneak peek – camera-aware isn’t something we usually do very much, but don’t they look gorgeous?!
Becki, Matt and the last of the Autumnal colour at Bassmead Manor Barns
We’ve got to know Becki and Matt over the last two years with them being present at another wedding we shot too, so we were so looking forward to finally celebrating their big day. The Rickety Barn at Bassmead Manor Barns is fast becoming a favourite of ours for ceremonies, with it’s gorgeous glow and we were very happy to see a single solitary tree on the drive still had golden leaves on. It was down the entrance end, but our couple were troopers, trekking all the way down the drive, but from the sneak peek we all think it was worth it!
Laura and Jay – Golden light outside yet inside it was snowing!
This was our first wedding at Parklands, Quendon Hall, and we really enjoyed it, not least because Laura and Jay are so much fun! It was lovely driving in and seeing beautiful stags and deer lazing in the morning sun. Their wedding was all about winter sparkle and candles, there was no way you could not feel in the mood for Christmas after this wedding! A particular highlight was showering the happy couple with four bags worth of ‘snow’ in the hallway – a confetti shot involving every guest indoors – that’s a good 120 people and a lot of hoovering for the lovely staff (sorry guys!) An amazing sunset basked this couple in light, and then the party really kicked off when our favourites Lovelight Entertainment turned up…
We rounded off the month is the best way possible by retaining our position as Best Wedding Photographers at the Four Counties Wedding Awards – it was awesome to hold on to the accolade for another year, thanks so much to the judges and our awesome wedding couples!
