Destination post wedding shoot | sun, sea and sand in Mexico

Have you read Part 1 of Blanca and Elliot’s destination wedding in Mexico? Go there first, and then come back here!

When time’s tight on your wedding day, having a post wedding shoot is a great way to celebrate your wedding destination away from the confines of time. This is exactly what Blanca and Elliot did during their destination wedding in Mexico. The day after their wedding we headed back to the beach to let our hair down and capture some memories by the sea.

Blanca and Elliot were game for something daring for their post wedding shoot – happy to get sand between their toes and even take a dip in the sea! They were both back in their wedding glad rags, and keen to add more photos of them in their best for the wedding album.

We arrived at the beach a couple of hours before sunset, meaning we had beautiful blue skies for the first half of our shoot and incredible orange and red skies as the sun went down.

Mexico destination wedding - wreck the dress

Mexico Wedding Photography

Our couple were true to their word when they said they wanted something unique (something we discovered during the tequila portion of the wedding reception!) They didn’t mind getting wedding suits or dresses covered in sand or sea. So we got creative!

They played in the sand, climbed up on the rocks and even ventured into the water to get the perfect shot. We loved it! The result was an incredible set of memories for Blanca and Elliot, and we think these photos perfectly sum up their adventurous personalities.

The location made our post destination wedding shoot even more special, this shoot is totally unique to our couple and the incredible location they chose. The pure white sand, the crystal clear sea and those dramatic skies – a dream!
