Mother Nature came through again on the afternoon of Anneka and Olie’s pre wedding shoot in Greenwich Park. It was a glorious day (remember those!) and we knew the sunset would be stunning, and we seemed to be in the perfect place to not only enjoy the fantastic views of the city, but also to catch the light through the most gorgeously-coloured tree. After an initial period of nervousness, these two realised we really were just going to ask them to walk in the park and enjoy each others company – we promised no cheesy posing and here you go, just a gorgeous afternoon capturing two people in love.
Henry and Izzie are super laid back, so we knew their Victoria Park pre wedding shoot in East London was literally going to be a walk in the park! We’d not been to this park before, but we found some lovely paths and some gorgeous blossom for these two to just hang out and chat to each other in. No stress, no awkward posing, just two people in love hanging out together (and with their very chilled photographers!) We expect their summer garden wedding to be much the same!
The light we had for Jo & Tom’s pre wedding shoot was every photographer’s dream. At this time of year and throughout the summer, we love to hold shoots so we can pick up the low evening sun. We’d not shot in Battersea Park before and it was great – the golden glow of this shoot as the sun sets paired with Jo & Tom’s smiles and laughter (they make each other laugh a lot it’s lovely!) makes for a stunning shoot. We off to the Emerald Isle this weekend to shoot their wedding, our first in Ireland so we are very excited! Here’s some picks from that glorious shoot….
We loved that Nicola & Elliott wanted to go back to their old haunt of Camden where their relationship kicked off, and we couldn’t believe we hadn’t shot in that area before to be honest. Our experiences of Camden hark back to when we were teenage grunge/skater kids respectively, picking up Pearl Jam/Metallica bootlegs at the market, so we were looking forward to going back creatively!
It was lovely to catch up with Ros and Robin on their home turf of Ally Pally. There’s a funny coincidence with these two, Ros grew up in the same village as Tom and yet her fiancé Robin shares the same surname with Tom – weird! Well, at least before Tom became an Orsino-Allen 😉
We’d not shot a pre wedding shoot at Alexandra Palace gardens before so it was lovely to play somewhere new. After a lovely catch up over tea and biscuits, we headed to the park amongst some golden evening sunshine. This set has a lovely warm glow to it, we think it makes you want to reach for an ice-cold beer just looking at it!
Their wedding tomorrow will see us shoot in the Jesus College Chapel for the first time so we are very excited! But then it is back to the gorgeous Childerley for the second week in a row for what will undoubtedly be a wonderfully relaxed celebration in the sunshine and stunning food. It’s one of our favourite venues.
Enjoy and grab that bottle opener…
Alexandra Palace Pre Wedding Shoot – London Wedding Photography by Lina and Tom
Meeting up with Lisa and Steve was something we were looking forward to for a while. An old school pal of Lina’s, we knew we’d have a lot of fun with them, and when they suggested the South Bank and the fantastic temporary cabaret venue of Wonderground, we knew we would have a colourful palette to work with. Couple that with a glorious Waterloo Sunset, and well, see for yourselves!

Lina was particularly happy when Emma & Bobby approached us to shoot their wedding, as Lina has known Emma since they were ickle primary school kids! These two are artistic souls, and after we saw their creative wedding invite of geometric shapes, we weren’t surprised to hear they wanted to take in the linear stark architecture for their Barbican pre wedding shoot. We had a walk around the Barbican with them before heading on to the gorgeously colourful Smithfield Market, and ending with a well deserved visit to the pub!
Theresa and Danny are the sort of couple we can sit and chat with for hours. In fact, we seem to remember we did exactly that at our first meeting, plus a good natter as we walked around their wedding venue Essendon Country Club, and certainly a lovely chinwag over the yummy lunch they treated us to before their pre-shoot in London! We’re so excited for them that their day is finally here since they saw Lina’s seminar at the Knebworth wedding show back in January. What’s great about these two is how much they make each other laugh, it’s lovely to be around them and we are sure this will stand them in good stead for years to come. Here’s a taste of a fun afternoon of London pre wedding photography starting at Butler’s Wharf…
Theresa and Danny have a strong connection to the Tower Hill area of London, spending many special evenings there, so it was an obvious choice for their London pre wedding shoot. These two make each other laugh all the time, and it was lovely to see them beaming away all day! Here’s a taste of a super afternoon!
