Our March photography was pretty epic as far as March’s go. Despite Spring not wanting to arrive, we still had a spring in our step this month! Here’s why…
We always want to be in top condition when we shoot your wedding, so would usually only allow ourselves to shoot two weddings in a row maximum. However, an influx of enquiries from super lovely people we just couldn’t say no too, means we end September and our busiest summer ever with a stretch of four! We had such a ball with these guys, here are tasters of these four fabulous couples this week.
We first got to know Kirsty and Michael a few years ago when Kirsty was Maid of Honour for the lovely Katie, and these guys were a whole lot of fun, so we were thrilled when they got in touch about their own Anstey Hall wedding. Fellow theatricals, the day was a feast of colour, kilts and fun, not to mention biscuits (yes!), so their taster could have come from all manner of moments, but we particularly love this shot amongst the bubbles.

After their pre wedding shoot at Shepreth Wildlife Park, we knew Leeming and Ian’s wedding would also be fun, and we weren’t wrong! A special colourful wedding car, crazy golf, hungry hippos and a casino made sure no guest was short of anything to enjoy! Yet it was this quiet moment in the setting sun we loved as a taster of their Chippenham Park wedding, this fun but gentle couple quietly enjoying a break from the party….

We were so looking forward to returning to The Old Hall in Ely after an eighteen month absence, and it was great to be with Gemma and Steve almost two years after they booked us! The sun shone for their outdoor ceremony and we love this tender moment with them later in the evening.

The title of this post will seem a little misleading at first. We met Gemma and Steve for a catch up over a drink before their woodland pre wedding shoot, at the gorgeous Willow Tree gastropub in the village of Bourn. The gardens of the pub have a lovely swing and a certain charm, so before we left for Hardwick Wood we took the opportunity to take a few shots in the garden and get warmed up!
Harwick wood had just started to flower with bluebells, and we took a wander with our lovely couple. For the most part, Gemma was safe in her lovely sandles, especially when her lovely fiancé would carry her over nettles and puddles, until one particularly muddy patch, and her foot went straight into the sludge! She took it in her stride though and we had a good giggle before taking in the stunning sunset.
Gemma first encountered us years ago when she worked at a wedding venue we had shot at. When they started planning their wedding two years ago, she came to see us and booked us in. We are really looking forward to their special day finally arriving tomorrow!

We had a super day yesterday with Claire and Paul, back at The Secret Garden Wedding Marquee at Burwash Manor, Cambridgeshire. After a few rainy days the sun shone beautifully, showing off the stunningly Spring-like celebration that was the theme of this wedding. Bright yellow flowers were everywhere, so you couldn’t fail to be brightened by your surroundings. Team this with a bbq and some cold beers for the wedding breakfast (genius) and it was a perfect Spring day!
