A peek at the weddings we have been shooting in September – from a serene woodland wedding to a glamorous country retreat. Also, Lina escaped to Italy for some family time, and we captured a very special one year old’s birthday!
We’ve shot some fun punting pre wedding shoots in the past, but Ruth and Danny’s had a twist, this time our very own Tom was the initial chauffeur. We tried something different, he punted so that we could give Ruth and Danny a go at ‘driving’, and what a hilarious decision that was! As well as the happy couple cuddling up in the punt, we saw them both try their hand at punting for the first time, with varying results, as we think the punt Danny hit would agree! No one ended up with damp feet though, so we were able to have a short stroll around Senate Passage, a beautiful part of the city, where they continued to make each other giggle, lovely stuff.
Last weekend saw a double bill of beautiful venues, with Ros and Robin marrying in the splendour of the chapel at Jesus College Cambridge, before going on to one of our favourite barn venues, Childerley.
We love this gorgeous moment under the cloisters at Jesus….

We had a fantastic day yesterday with Kim and Nick. These rock music lovers and fans of all things metal and magical stayed true to themselves and had a wonderfully unique Alice in Wonderland themed wedding at the newly refurbished Slepe Hall Hotel with a touch of gothic red and black. Before the ceremony, they chose to have a ‘first look’ away from their guests on the bridge in St Ives, and they had also booked the beautiful little chapel on the bridge which was a fantastic backdrop to their alternative wedding portraits. Later on they were especially considerate to their guests’ enjoyment, with the evening reception being a silent disco, which worked brilliantly! They also had an ice cream factory, photo booth and amazingly, an adult ball pit! We couldn’t decide on just one taster of this fantastic wedding, so you get two!

We’ve been looking forward to Kim & Nick’s wedding for ages, ever since they told us they wanted to do things differently, choosing an alternative wedding with Alice in Wonderland theme for their big day! Obviously this really excited us, but when we discovered we were booked for their original planned wedding date they actually moved it to suit our availability, so how can we not automatically love them!
For their Cambridge pre wedding shoot we headed to Milton Country Park, and Kim and Nick brought props along that will be part of the wedding! We had a lot of fun with them, capturing their love as well as their personalities! We can’t wait to celebrate with these guys tomorrow, they don’t take themselves too seriously so we know the day will be fun. We’re particularly looking forward to hearing some rock and metal at a wedding 😉 which will also see us shooting our first ‘first look‘ – which having got to know them we know is right for these two. In the meantime, here’s some of their gorgeously sunny and quirky pre wedding shoot.

Wilma & Gilbert brighten up our Wednesday with a truly international wedding at Girton College for which all the guests had to fly in for! With various elements such as a chapel wedding, a tea ceremony and an abundance of time for photographs, we were spoilt for choice when choosing a sneak peek. However this last shot of the night stands out as an intimate moment at the end of a packed but truly wonderful day…

We spent a lovely afternoon in Cambridge with Claire and Chris today, ahead of their wedding at Brocket Hall
Excited at the gorgeous sunshine, we started with a relaxed stroll around Emmanuel College, where Chris studied, before moving down to the Mill Pond and climbing aboard a chauffeured Scudamores Punt!
Lina was up front, whilst Tom got his running shoes on, following the punt along the length of the river, intercepting from various bridges on the way, making sure we had lots of angles covered, the 8kgs of camera equipment in the backpack testing his fitness!
Here is a little taster of a sunny afternoon…
Punting Pre Wedding Shoot in Cambridge by Cambridge Wedding Photographers Lina and Tom
We’re super excited about Meghan and Simon’s London wedding tomorrow! We’ll be heading to Mayfair Library for their wedding ceremony before taking in some of the landmarks as part of their wedding photography.
In preparation, we had a great afternoon in Cambridge for their pre wedding shoot as a contrast to the London skyline which will undoubtedly feature in their wedding tomorrow. Many of you know we are total cat-lovers, so when they suggested starting the shoot at their flat so we could capture their gorgeous kitty Dotty we jumped at the chance! After cooing over the little lady for a while, we headed into Cambridge and loved taking in the sights with them. Meghan and Simon then thoroughly spoilt us by treating us to cake after at the gorgeous cafe Afternoon Tease (you should go!), huge brownie points there (no pun intended!)
We’re happy to be celebrating this month – we’re five years old! We can’t believe how time has flown since we decided to specialise in providing fun wedding photography in Cambridgeshire and throughout East Anglia – and beyond!
Here’s a look back the first five couples who gave us the opportunity to shoot their wedding under our former name of Liquid Photo and help us build the successful business we have now and love!
Frances and Andrew
It was Fran & Andy’s engagement which started it all, good long-term friends of Tom’s who knew his talent and asked if he would be their wedding photographer at the gorgeous Priory Hall in Suffolk. We knew it was where we wanted to go so it was a great opportunity – we didn’t let them down and the rest, as they say, is history!
Rachel and Toby
As if to test if we really meant it, Lina’s best friend from childhood, Rachel, also announced her engagement and asked if we would be their wedding photographer at the Bedford Swan Hotel. A huge privilege, which really cemented our desire to concentrate on weddings and build a successful business as wedding photographers. It was also the debut of our photo booth studio for the first time – still going strong and much replicated almost five years later!
Virginie and Adriano
Virginie and Adriano found our small but perfectly formed portfolio online, and could see the spark of talent in our work despite our still relative inexperience. They had a wonderfully relaxed wedding at Cambridge Registry Office Shire Hall followed by everyone heading to the Fort St. George pub on Midsummer Common. Such a lovely couple, and we thank them for the occasional updates we get of their little family.
Louisa and Jamie
A former work colleague of Lina’s, Louisa and Jamie wanted relaxed reportage photography and had seen our work evolve. They had a wonderful barn wedding with gorgeous flowers and fresh hops, as well as our fun photo booth studio in the evening as part of their Tewin Bury Farm wedding photography. We love this shot as it is a testament to how great a couple can look when feeling relaxed with their photographer, and it regularly jumps out of our portfolio with prospective clients. We’re very happy to be able to now call them friends.
Jennie and Aaron
Jennie and Aaron were our next couple to find us purely via Google and we are so glad they did. They’re based in Ireland but married in Ely, with a wedding reception at the lovely Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon. We had such a lovely relaxed day with them and were thrilled when they loved the photos. Again it is great to hear from them now an then or via social networks that they are well!
Without these couples taking a leap of faith in (at the time) Tom’s talent and Lina’s marketing and business skills, we wouldn’t be where we are today, very happy as successful wedding photographers grateful to be doing a job we love. It is a huge honour to share this special day with a couple, and having shot well over 100 weddings now, I don’t think we will ever get tired of what we do, so thank you to everyone who has played their part in getting us here!
Wedding Photography in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and all over the South East and beyond by Cambridgeshire wedding photographers Lina and Tom
We were so excited about Pippa & Alex’s wedding theme of ‘formal wedding attire from the chin down, go crazy from the chin up.’ Our lovely couple wanted to embrace their love of dressing up and we were delighted to see that their guests obviously loved it too! After a gorgeous wedding ceremony in the Corpus Christi College Chapel, it was fun and frolics all the way at the Cambridge Union Society for their reception. How could we resist having a bit of fun with them in the debating chamber with their fab headgear and thank them for letting us getting all ‘game of thrones’ on them!
